Yamaha announced this week that it will release a new 11.2 channel RX-Z11 digital AV receiver, which is aimed at delivering “the ultimate audio and video quality of content from diverse sources” for home theater customers, with 11 channels and support for every major AV format. It’s the first 11-channel receiver, and the first product to ever receive THX Ultra2 Plus Certification.
The flagship receiver also offers such features as the patented CinemaDSP HD3 processing, as well as a USB interface, network capability, HD radio technology, and YPAO sound optimization.
The receiver will ship in November, at a suggested retail price of $5,499. It will also be demonstrated next month at CEDIA, Yamaha said.
