Known for it's dedication to amazing audio, the ZTE Axon 9 Pro upgrades its video hardware and software in a white space that nobody else is currently entertaining.
Launched at IFA 2018 Jeff Yee, Vice-President of Product Marketing & Strategy, announced the Axon 9 Pro as one that uses two tricks from modern day TVs, and one from their own software lab.
Firstly, ZTE has added MEMC (or Motion Estimation Motion Compensation) which Yee said enables a lag-free display. In layman's terms, it does this by using a new chipset and a little bit of software magic to process nearly 500 million pixels a second to estimate motion and draw new frames. Ideally, content, regardless of source, should be displayed at a minimum of 60 fps. The Axon 9 Pro also adds HDR10 support for a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio, both tricks from modern day TV's and it should help make good on ZTE's promise. The last trick is the Axon 9 Pro adaptive display that can change color temperature and backlight depending on surrounding conditions.
