2014 prediction time: Smartwatches will be on everyone's wrist. Not mine, since my mother already nags me about having my phone out all the time, but you get my point. We've heard about the Samsung smartwatches and steadily, more and more companies have been tossing their products into the wearable tech ring. Now, Archos wants in on the smartwatch game and we can expect a preview at CES next week.
Clearly, the connected home is an exciting thing. So exciting, in fact, that Archos showed its hand more than a week before the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show is scheduled to begin in Las Vegas January 7.
ARCHOS is a known name in the Android ecosystem, having started making Android tablets before many of the major players did. With IFA just a week away, ARCHOS unveiled its entire product lineup of smartphones and tablets, planned to be unveiled later this year.
Archos announced Wednesday that it has formed an exclusive distribution partnership with WYNIT. The distributor will make Archos' entire line available to retailers, etailers and independent stores.
We saw a bit of teasing from Archos a few weeks back, which for those who may have missed that bit — the company showed an image of their Gen 10 tablet line. And well, it looks like Archos has sine returned with a bit more detail. Notably, the announcement of their Gen 10 XS tablet lineup and the introduction of the Archos 101 XS tablet.
Archos has officially unveiled their latest tablet offering, though, it will not be available until sometime later in the month. The tablet is the Archos 97 Carbon and it appears as if it will arrive with some decent specs and a rather nice price tag. And just to clarify this one, Archos is billing this one as being part of their entry-level lineup.
Archos has dished out a new Android tablet. Make that a 7-inch Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet. Dubbed the Arnova ChildPad, yes you guess it right, this tablet is meant for your kids.
It looks like Archos now has the 1.5GHz processor models available in their G9 tablet lineup. The lineup consists of the Archos 80 and the Archos 101 tablets, both of which are available with the dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4 processor and are shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
