Modia Home Theater Store announced Monday that it has reached a deal with Apple to become an Apple Authorized Reseller and add Apple "store-within-a-store" areas to all seven of its stores in Texas.

The Atlanta area-based Home Theater Store, which provides home theater custom and retail service, announced that Scott Pope has become its new operating officer. Pope, a former postmaster in Kennesaw, Ga., was once a customer of the store and later joined them. Pope’s first day was Super Bowl Sunday.
In a bid to get away from its “generic” previous name, the Southwestern retail chain Home Theater Store has announced that it will henceforth be known as “Modia.” The new name, the company said in its announcement, is a combination of “emotion” and “media.” Modia’s goal going forward will be to combine its AV products with media furniture as well as custom installation.
