In a bid to get away from its “generic” previous name, the Southwestern retail chain Home Theater Store has announced that it will henceforth be known as “Modia.” The new name, the company said in its announcement, is a combination of “emotion” and “media.” Modia’s goal going forward will be to combine its AV products with media furniture as well as custom installation. The name change was announced at Modia’s Houston location; it also has stores in Dallas, Austin and Phoenix, and plans to open more next year. For more information on Modia, visit www.modia.com
