NAD, a hi-fi audio solutions provider, has just announced the release of the new NAD CS1, which allows users to stream audio in up to 24-bit/ 192kHz. The device connects to a user’s favorite sound system and can connect to any preferred streaming service including Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, or Amazon. The NAD CS1 will run for consumers $349 and will be available starting in March.

In other news, Amazon is likely to be fined by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety Health Administration for creating an unhealthy work environment in three separate warehouses across the country. The proposed fine of $60,269, a drop in the bucket for Amazon, comes as a result of investigations finding that the labor conditions in the warehouses put workers at a higher risk of injury. This is just the latest knock against Amazon, which has spent years being scrutinized for prioritizing speed over workplace conditions.

Lastly, the FDA has cleared Wandercraft’s Atalante exoskeleton for use in the rehabilitation of stroke patients, according to reporting from Engadget. The Atalante, which self-balances, features an adjustable gait to help patients relearn to walk. These medical devices are expected to begin arriving in the first quarter of 2023.
