Surround Sound Drives Audio Sales The Consumer Electronics Association reports a 6 percent increase in factory sales of audio products in August, bringing the year-to-date sales up to $5.3 billion. That accounts for an 11.2 percent increase from last year during the same period. CEA relates the increase in sales to the growing popularity of the aspects of surround sound.
