Target Drops Blu-ray Prices

Target has dramatically dropped the prices of some of its Blu-ray Disc players, as the cost of the lower-end products in the segment continues to drop towards $200.

3 New LCD TV Lines from Syntax-Brillian

Syntax-Brillian announced Wednesday three new Olevia lines of LCD TVs. The lines, dubbed 3 Series, 5 Series and 7 Series, represent the first complete product offering since the companies merged last year. The 5 Series have already begun shipment, with the 3 and 7 Series to follow in September. The 3 Series are designed for general consumer use, the 5 Series for high-definition cinema and the 7 Series for Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) processing. Firmware updates are downloadable on all Series via a built-in USB port. The 7 Series HDTVs display at 1080p and the other Series at 1080i.
