Russound Appoints Walt Zerbe, Product Manager, Emerging Technologies Russound has appointed audio industry veteran Walt Zerbe Product Manager for emerging technologies. Zerbe will oversee development of new, advanced products and technologies. Zerbe has gained experience through roles in product management, custom integration and audio engineering. He had worked as a product manager for On-Q/Legrand, systems architect for OMNI Interactive Systems, production manager for Associated Sound Services and as an engineer with radio WITH-AM in Baltimore. D&H this week begins shipping Superna’s cost-effective IP-based home control system. The system is based on a set of control boxes and touch-screen displays designed to manage digital media and entertainment functions, facilitate distributed audio and video and control electronic devices, including PCs, appliances and lighting. Lawrence Richenstein, Unwired Technology’s founder and former president and CEO, has moved up to become chairman of the board. Richenstein will advise the management team, pursue licensing avenues for the company’s WhiteFire digital wireless format and support the development of Unwired’s emerging European business. Richenstein will also continue his involvement with CEA. This year he became vice chairman of the association’s Mobile Electronics Division and will remain a member of its Board of Industry Leaders.
