Volutone Adds RTI, Sunbrite-TV, Pixel

Volutone announced plans Friday to distribute RTI Control Systems in California and Southern Nevada.  In addition, the distributor will add Sunbrite-TV and Pixel products to their line up.  Volutone V.P. of Purchasing Trevor Hansen said, "Our dealer base has been asking for RTI for years and now we can offer this great line up to them," adding, "With summer right around the corner and more people investing in backyard entertainment it was an easy decision to add Sunbrite-TV LCD televisions to our line up."

RTI Forges New Partnerships in Europe, Middle East and South America

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) has expanded its global presence through partnerships with three new distributors in Europe, the Middle East and South America. The company has added Adventure LTD for the United Kingdom and Ireland; Imagine Technologies for Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and Audiogene for Brazil. Peter Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI, said, “Our new international relationships are part and parcel to RTI’s future growth in sales globally as well as the expansion of our reputation as a true leader in the electronic control industry.”

CSAV Inc., vendor of mounting solutions, announced the appointment of Troy Peifer as chief financial officer (CFO). He joins Chief from Flexi-Mat Corporation, where he was the CFO for the last nine years after being a controller for three years. Peifer is a CPA and holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Illinois State University and an MBA from Northwestern University. Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), announced that Andrew Werdean has joined the firm as the new western regional sales manager. Werdean will be responsible for managing distribution of RTI products in the western United States and for servicing RTIÅfs increasing dealer base in the territory.

System control vendor Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) revealed its new www.rticorp.com site, which highlights a variety of custom applications. It's a little ironic that the term "remote control" has come to identify the device that TV watchers have the most direct, personal contact with. The ability to control from a distance originated with radio-controlled motorboats developed by the German navy during World War I. Imagine how those engineers would react to a modern home theater showing a DVD of Titanic. A better term might be "central command," to reflect today's broad capability to customize the functions of audio and video systems according to the needs and preferences of the individual customer.
