The service management firm Service Net announced Tuesday that it has named Chris Smith its new president. Under the full title president of sales and marketing operations, a newly created position, Smith will report to Kevin Callahan, the firm’s CEO. A 20-year retail veteran, Smith previously worked at ServicePower Field Service Solutions, for which he both led the startup and served as CEO. His career also includes stints with GE Warranty Management and Montgomery Ward. The service management company Service Net announced this week that it is introducing a trio of new services, providing customers with theft recovery assistance, online data backup, and yearly notebook cleanings. “Our mission is to provide our clients with innovative solutions that build brand loyalty,” Service Net General Manager of Strategic Marketing Troy Lewis said in the company’s announcement. “By offering these new programs we add value and extend the relationship between our client and their customer.” The theft recovery service entails Service Net teaming up with the security firm The CyberAngel to provide theft recovery assistance and data protection for clients.
