Hitachi Home Electronics of America announced late Monday that it will consolidate its Canadian market operations within its U.S. headquarters in Chula Vista, Calif. The move, which will take place by late March, will result in the closure of the company's current office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Escort Inc., the maker of radar and laser detectors for the automotive market, announced Monday that it has named John Larson its new CEO.
