More than three-fourths of U.S. consumers are aware of next February’s analog-TV shutoff- and of those who are aware, just over half would prefer to obtain a converter box or digital TV than to subscribe to cable, satellite or other pay-TV services. That’s according to a survey released last week by the Association of Public Television Stations, as reported by the Web site TVNewsday.com.
