Last night’s opening cocktail party marked the inception of the first-ever FutureVision Conference, where the industry’s drivers  – technology visionaries, leading vendors and solutions providers and executives from consumer electronics’ most influential retailers – are meeting to network and share their business stratagems for the days and months ahead. The three-day conference, hosted by Dealerscope and Ryan Retail Consulting, is being held at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in the heart of Northern California wine country.  Here are snapshots of some of those who attended the reception, which was sponsored by the retail solutions company MarketSource. Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) kicked off its spring meeting on Tuesday April 7, with the aptly titled “The Dotty Do in The Desert” held in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Over 200 member and dealer attendees kicked off the morning with Executive Director Richard Glikes State of the industry presentation and welcome. “In 2007 in our industry there was some very positive trends,” Glikes said. “This includes lighting control that was up 50%.
