The metal-body Galaxy Alpha smartphone has received a bit of attention due to its design, but the phone may not be available for very long. Reports out of South Korea from ET News state Samsung plans to axe the Galaxy Alpha.

Samsung is not looking to come out with any new OLED televisions in 2015, and the company will be focusing on quantum dot LCD instead. Samsung TV head Kim Hyun-seok has once again told members of the media in South Korea that the company is not changing its stance on OLED, and therefore, no new units will launching the coming year.

According to a recent article on Newsday,  Samsung said that its latest TV, a behemoth 4K (Ultra HD) 110-inch television that launched yesterday, is selling for about $152,000 in South Korea. The article goes on to state that large 4K TVs like the Samsung are an indicator of major manufacturers moving away from OLED
