The North Carolina-based audio/video provider Audio Advice announced Monday that it has acquired the security installation firm Premier Security, and as a result will now offer a new suite of services. Additionally, the firm announced an executive shuffle. The combined company is “now positioned to deliver complete, high-quality home technology systems incredibly fast,” company founder Leon Shaw said in a statement issued by Audio Advice. Under the company’s new structure, Shaw will assume the title of chairman of the board, while Scott Newnam, previously as investor and board member, will now be president and CEO. In a merger of e-commerce firms, GSI Commerce announced Thursday that has purchased Accretive Commerce for $97.5 million. The boards of directors of both companies have approved the transaction. GSI, based in King of Prussia, Pa., outside of Philadelphia, represents retailers, as well as entertainment companies and sports leagues, with clients that include Ace Hardware, Linens ‘n’ Things, and the NBA. The North Carolina-based Accretive’s clients include Godiva and American Eagle. The deal is expected to close within 60 days.
