Russound is launching a Certified Installer Program for its Internet-based products to protect against their being bought through unauthorized sources while ensuring they will be installed by certified CIs.

Russound has partnered with Spotify and will offer firmware updates so that its portfolio of streaming products will support the streaming service, the company announced Friday. Spotify Connect will be made available in the company’s XStream X5 distributed audio system component, the DMS-3.1 digital media streamer with AirPlay, and the MCA-88X streaming multi-zone controller digital amplifier. Major revisions to Russound’s apps will also support Spotify, said Colin Clark, product marketing manager.

Russound said this week that it has appointed  Colin Clark to the position of Product Marketing Manager, as the company, according to the announcement, "works to redefine how custom whole house and high-resolution audio is installed, streamed and enjoyed in the worldwide market.

The home automation brand TiO and its parent company Automated Control Technology Partners (ACTP) on Tuesday announced that they have appointed Colin Clark as product manager. Clark spent many years with Niles Audio and most recently worked for SnapAV.

SnapAV announced Monday that it has named Colin Clark its new business unit manager. Clark will manage such products as the Episode Speakers line.
