For as much pain and suffering as CES might create in December, I always get a strange high when my plane hits the tarmac at the Las Vegas airport: It is good to be back—I can't wait to see everybody. Entering 2002, I am hopeful for our industry and our nation. Our industry is blessed with a direct connection to the consumer; technology is increasingly a part of everyday lives.
