Since Steve Jobs passed away people have been unsure whether Apple will remain the same innovative company under the leadership of new CEO Tim Cook. Well, in the recent Harris Poll Equitrends results Apple emerged the winner in three distinct categories: Mobile Phones, Computers and Tablets. The survey is based on the results from 38,500 people on more than 1,500 brands across over 155 categories.

KitchenAid was the consumer brand of choice for both large and small appliances according to results of the 2011 Harris Poll EquiTrend Study. Harris gave KitchenAid, a brand of Whirlpool Corp., its Brand of the Year award in Major Appliances as well as in Small Appliances. The Kenmore brand was a close second in the Major Appliances category, followed by the Whirlpool brand. In the Small Appliances category, Cuisinart took second place and Black & Decker took third. Only one in six U.S. adults owns a GPS system, despite improving technology and falling prices. But, there’s still hope for GPS manufacturers to up those numbers. That’s according to a Harris Interactive poll, released Aug. 15. The survey also found that 34 percent of GPS owners use handheld systems, while another third (33 percent) using car-mounted GPS systems. Others use PDAs, laptops, cell phones, and other hardware to use GPS services. The polltakers indicated that because nine percent of adults called themselves “very or extremely likely” to purchase a GPS system in the next year, they expected the overall market penetration
