RadioShack said this week that it named Joseph C. Magnacca, formerly of Duane Reade and Walgreens, as its new chief executive officer.
RadioShack said Tuesday that it posted a loss of $47 million in the most recent quarter, compared with a $0.3 million profit the same time last year. The company, which recently dismissed CEO Jim Gooch, cited the weak performance of its mobile phone business.
RadioShack announced Wednesday that CEO Jim Gooch has resigned, effective immediately. CFO Dorvin Lively will take over as interim CEO, as the company retains a search firm to find a permanent successor.
RadioShack Tuesday reported a loss of $8 million for the most recent quarter, compared with a profit of $35.1 million. CEO Jim Gooch described the quarter as "extremely challenging."
RadioShack announced Monday that it has named Dorvin Lively its new chief financial officer. Lively comes to the company from ACE Hardware, where he held a similar position.
RadioShack Thursday officially completed its long-planned CEO shift, with Jim Gooch replacing the retiring Julian Day as the company's top executive at RadioShack's annual shareholder meeting in Fort Worth, Tex.
