Despite e-commerce's success, the audio industry manufacturers have approached the web with a watchful eye, sometimes refusing to sell their products on-line. The common argument against audio sales on the Internet is customers cannot hear the sound quality of what they wish to purchase, creating the possibility of costly returns and dissatisfied customers.
