You may know her from her years on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, as well as numerous endorsements in the furniture industry. Now, Kathy Ireland is putting her name on a new line of consumer electronics accessories.
BrandSource said Thursday that it has launched a new division called OutdoorSource, focusing on outdoor products.
“The OutdoorSource division was created to help members compete with big box stores by offering a compelling and affordable assortment of outdoor products,” said Bob Lawrence, BrandSource CEO, said in a statement.
BrandSource, which announced earlier this year that they have enlisted Kathy Ireland as an ambassador, is debuting its first series of broadcast ads featuring the model and lifestyle designer.
The BrandSource buying group broadened both its informational and logistics reaches Tuesday, when it formally unveiled the BrandSource App mobile application along with the Expert Warehouse 2 initiative resulting from its new partnership with Ingram Micro.
BrandSource CEO Bob Lawrence told dealers on Day Two of the Orlando-held Summit that the group’s “primary goal is to make you price-competitive at acceptable margins.” But he added that for members to remain competitive against the national big-boxes stores for the far term, they needed to “get serious” about leveraging the BrandSource brand on a national level.
