Walmart is preparing another push to open in the New York market, according to a report out of the city over the weekend.

Walmart is planning a major remodeling, in both store aesthetics and strategy, that it is calling "Project Impact," Time Magazine reported last week.

Walmart, which two years ago publicly gave up on opening a store in New York City, is looking again at putting stores in the Big Apple

Walmart got a new CEO earlier this year, and now its Sam's Club division has one as well. Brian C. Cornell, formerly of Michael's Stores Inc., is the new CEO of Sam's Club, replacing Doug McMillon, who recently moved to the top job at Walmart International.

Walmart's transition at the top is now complete, as Mike Duke officially replaced the retiring Lee Scott as CEO last week.
