Sharp has begun the exclusive-to-the-U.S.-market deployment of what it is billing as the world’s largest LED TV: the 90-inch Aquos LC-90LE745U.

Sharp Electronics announced that it has begun selling the largest LED LCD TV on the market – the 70-inch 120Hz AQUOS Quattron LC-70LE732U ($3,799) – the first model in what will be a four-model series the company will field in 2011 in the 70-inch class. 

Sharp Electronics said Monday that it has named Mark Viken vice president of marketing for Sharp Electronics Marketing Company of America (SEMCA). Viken will report to the division's president, John Herrington.
