The first AVHDD will be a home video editing device, offering "super slow-motion replay" and "speedy noiseless searching" functions that can be accessed via a jog dial. AVHDD products could also support other features, such as extended recording and playback capabilities, instant program search when linked to an electronic program guide and simultaneous recording/playback.
