Conn's long-time consumer electronics By Natalie Hope McDonald "Most of our customers are repeat customers," says Bill Nylin, president of Conn's. For 114 years, the company, which started out as a plumbing store, put customers first. Though it wasn't until Carol Washington Conn, Sr. joined the team that the retailer adopted its more recognized name, and as early as 1937, the plumbing business shifted into appliances.
