Vizio announced Friday that it has opened a new sales and marketing facility in North Sioux City, South Dakota. The call center is meant to meet demand for online orders placed through Vizio.com.
Vizio this week received a regional Entrepreneur of the Year award from the accounting firm Ernst & Young, the company said. Vizio, based in Irvine, Calif., won the award for the Orange County/Desert Cities region. “This is a great honor for VIZIO to not only win this award but to be recognized by other business leaders in Orange County,” the company’s CEO and founder, William Wang, said in a statement. The LCD maker Vizio announced Monday that it has brought in five new executives in the last few months, meant to “address the company’s continued growth and efficiency goals.” The appointments took place between last September and February of this year. The appointments include the arrival of former Los Angeles Dodgers executive Kyle Wescoat as vice president and CFO, Rob L. Brinkman as the new vice president of operations, Eunice Tseng as vice president of management information systems, Gateway veteran John Schindler as vice president of new products, and, last month, John Morriss as vice president of partner management. “We are excited
