One Firefly, a website designer that provides its services, including marketing support, to home technology professionals, has released information about a number of working protocols that it has instituted in wake of the COVID-19 situation, as well as announcing informational webinars related to the crisis.
Ron Callis, Jr., CEO, says the company is well positioned internally for COVID-19, as all but one of its employees works remotely. Further, in his statement, Callis reports that he has issued the following directives to employees: “We’ve instructed our staff to take the necessary precautions in order to keep themselves and their families safe per guidelines recommended by the CDC. Additionally, we’ve relaxed our flexible working schedules in order to allow staff to attend to their children who may be at home because of school closures.”
In terms of client servicing during this period, Callis reported on measures available to home technology professionals using their services that include creating templated messaging around COVID-19 that can immediately be posted to blogs and sent out via email to customer email lists, and adjusting content marketing strategies with alternate editorial calendar options that are more aligned and sensitive to current challenges and opportunities.
Aside from the non-stop news cycle around the pandemic,” Callis says, “it’s business as usual for our remote workforce. We are not anticipating any slowdowns in production so … marketing efforts will continue uninterrupted at a time when they are most needed.”
Related to this topic, the company is organizing two informational webinars next week: Marketing in Times of Crisis (Tues., March 24, 10am EST) and Remote Working Best Practices (Tues., March 24, 5 pm EST).
