So now that you have created your profile, we have few tips on how to navigate the website and help you and your business create a presence on Pinterest.
Below are the top five tips to help you perfect "Pinetiqutte."
Spend Time on your Profile
Like all social media networking sites, it takes a lot of time to produce a quality profile on Pinterest. It's better to "pin" three quality pins throughout the day then it is to "pin" a burst of photos or advertisements all at once onto your profile. Your followers will see right through intentions. Be authentic.
Create an atmosphere
Pinterest is known for being more "whimsical" then other social media networks. You can create and dream up your ideal vacation, organize recipes others have suggested, share articles you find interesting, etc. Use this to your advantage. I repeat, do not just post ads about your company or items for sale. It's important to "pin" helpful tips and items that describe your company as well as what items you promote. It helps create a presence on Pinterest and helps you gain followers.
Connect and use all social media platforms.
Use all social platforms to get your brand name out into the pinning world. It is simple and easy to connect not only your other social profiles, but your website as well. Recently, many companies who already have a presence on Pinterest have added a "Pin It" button to their business website. It not only directs traffic to your Pinterest profile, it gives publicity to the content and product provided on your website.
