DS Index: Q2 2017 Report

The second quarter was not a pretty one for the CE retail industry. According to our most recent quarterly analysis of the Dealerscope CE Retail Confidence Index, the average score during the quarter fell roughly six point to 189.94. CE retailers saw their overall confidence level decline each month during the quarter, bottoming out at a record low for the survey’s history.
In this Q2 2017 analysis, Dealerscope dives deeper into the numbers to try to identify why overall CE retail confidence is slipping. Some of the topics analyzed in the report include:
- The impact on average by-product category confidence
- How product categories trended throughout the quarter
- Sales performance during Q2
- Online and in-store traffic confidence levels
