The vibrancy of new companies with new ideas was very much in evidence at the Autumn edition of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)-produced Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), which opened Oct. 13 and will run through the Oct.16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Fair is held concurrently with the components-centric electronicAsia exhibition, and both fairs combined are hosting at total of around 4,300 companies from 25 countries and regions.
A principal feature of the Fair was the Startup Zone. In its third year at the Fair, it featured offerings from 110 companies from the U.S., Hong Kong, Mainland China, Denmark, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
Introductions by these startups ran the gamut, and included apps, smart-home solutions, wearable technologies, IoT appliances, big data and electronic healthcare products and technologies. Here’s a look at some of the products Dealerscope discovered among the exhibitors, with more to come in subsequent reporting. To view the images and read the stories, click on the bar at right.
