Dan Hughes, with MantelMount’s MM855 Pro Series automated TV mount ($1,999). The model allows the TV viewer to control TV viewing positions through home automation systems; it also has a memory that can store up to six favorite TV positions. The MM855 benefits from enhancements to the earlier model that were added based on installer feedback. The unit operates more smoothly and can integrate with more home automation hubs, including Control4, URC, RTI, Savant and Crestron; it is also operable through its own remote control. Other enhancements include improved heat management, more accurate power sensing to help suppress electrical noise, and a safety feature that automatically retracts the unit to a fully raised position when unsafe temperatures for electronics are detected. It can handle up to a 125-pound panel, and comes with a five-year limited warranty.
