Modius’s Dr. Jason McKeown, neurologist and company founder, holds his wearable weight management/loss system ($499), which uses non-invasive neurostimulation to reduce appetite cravings. It sends electrical signals to the thalamus via electrodes applied behind the ear; the signal intensity is adjustable and may be increased gradually. The headset is worked via an app, and buyers have access to an online user community.
